Just a quick article today, showing how you can get paid for sharing the data on your phone.

I think we all know that large companies and social media companies are already harvesting our data for commercial purposes.

But now a company called Tapestri has developed an app for your mobile phone that lets users in the USA get paid for sharing that data with companies that want to use it. (And are probably already getting access to it anyway.)

  • As a free user you can earn up to $25 per month to share the data your phone collects with the commercial giants who want to pay for it.
  • Don't worry – your data is anonymized before it's shared.
  • The company operates an affiliate referral system to find new customers to download the app. Even free users can earn $1 per month for every friend or family member they introduce.
  • If you have more than one phone in the family (as most families do!) it makes sense for one family member to ‘introduce' the others and collect $1 each.
  • No limit to the number of referrals you can make.
  • Anyone who sees the potential and wants to build a big business can unlock second level affiliate commissions of $1 per referral by paying just $9.95 a month.

I have to be honest here and say that, as I live in the UK, I can't use the app! (And it hasn't launched yet either. As of early August 2021 it's in the customer gathering phase, ready for full launch.)
